Yard work is hard work and there is no doubt about it. Still working on the privacy fence aka garden backdrop wall. I still have a multitude of trees to plant in from of it as well as shrubs etc.
Right now the yard looks like HillBilly heaven especially with a 6 foot high pile of mushroom manure plopped in the center of the garden. The tall bearded and red suspendered man who delivered the load left his business card in my door. Although it was not printed on a corncob (as I had fully expected it would have been) his address read "Possum Hollow Rd". Which makes sense knowing that just over the hill is "Swamp Poodle Rd". Which all brings to mind an elderly fella I once knew whose name was Pete Moss. Truly. I suppose the strangest point of all is the fact that I take such solace in my loony backwoods town.
